Solar Activity Report: February 2-8, 2026 Solar activity over the past week fluctuated significantly, ranging from very high to low levels. The week began with a powerful X2.8 flare that had started late in the previous week but concluded during the reporting period. In total, four X-class flares and numerous M-class flares were observed. Active Region 14366 was the most prolific, producing four X-class, 38 M-class, and 31 C-class flares.
