We continue to watch the remnants of Hurricane Ida and prepare for heavy rainfall - potentially 3-4 inches with higher amounts in spots. The River Forecast Center is working with crews at dams high in the mountains on the tributary rivers, like Hiwassee, to create flood storage by releasing water ahead of the storm.
