Hurricane Irma made landfall in the Marco Island area as a strong Category 3 storm, with sustained winds of 112 mph and gusts up to 142 mph. Due to Sheriff Rambosk’s leadership and commitment to training and preparedness, our deputies were there with our community throughout the hurricane and during its aftermath. We can assure everyone that we stand prepared to do the same all over again if another storm threatens our area.
