ORIGINAL POST: Emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious two-vehicle collision on the A417 at Birdlip Hill. The collision was reported at around 5.30pm this evening (Tuesday 23 September). All traffic in both directions is currently being diverted along Old Birdlip Road and motorists are advised to find alternative routes. | Gloucestershire Constabulary

We’ve recently added new LED solar road studs on the A417 to make the road safer. 🚗These bright studs improve visibility, helping drivers better see the road layout. We've also replaced the dashed centre line with a double solid white line to help discourage overtaking, in line with The Highway Code. This work comes after five serious collisions involving vehicles crossing the dashed centre line. 🛣️ Plus, the new road studs are lower-profile, making the road safer for motorcyclists too. #RoadS
