CTA Blue Line trains were suspended downtown this morning due to what the agency described as a "medical emergency on the tracks," with a large emergency response in the Loop and streets blocked by Chicago Fire Department trucks and ambulances.⁠ ⁠ According to an alert posted at 8:58 a.m., Blue Line service between Grand and UIC-Halsted was suspended on the tracks near Washington. As a result, CTA said trains were only operating in two sections -- between O'Hare and Grand and between Forest Park
