Blackout curtain details that I wish I knew sooner! 🤣 I think it will apply to sheer or semi black outs too. But it’s more important if you’re really wanting a full blackout for people who can’t sleep with light leaks in the morning. | Kenneth Tan

I think this costed me RM14 plus? Cheapest black coffee it is not, but it’s the most value for money black coffee from a big chain coffee shop today IMO. Really think I’ll visit @hwc_malaysia more often now. . If you don’t mind lighter flavours and more dilution, I think you’ll enjoy this cup. . Lemme know your thoughts! | Kenneth Tan

Downlight or spot lights directly form the ceiling creates heavy shadows on your face.. if you really want to have a eyeball light above your vanity.. make sure to add a mirror with front facing lights or a wall scone on both sides to make it beautiful and still functional. . One light is not enough in the bathroom. And don’t you even dare get one of those huge white lights that is meant of offices! | Kenneth Tan

For years I thought my undercounter filter was the perfect solution. But then came the late-night boiling, the forgotten fridge bottles, the waiting, the wasted space… Funny how the things we accept as “normal” can actually be the biggest daily frustrations. Or maybe it’s just my uncle phase of my life? Recently, I discovered a convenience I never knew I needed until it was on my counter. PS: there’s even a promo running till 30th Sept — 50% off for 6 months… which makes it even harder to ignore

we often forget why we do what we’re doing. The other day I asked @karolhan when she would wanna go back to Bangkok again or maybe visit a beach. Probably two of her favourite places. She said she doesn’t want to go to either. I asked her why? Her answer… . Wait till you have time to be present when we’re travelling together. 🥹 . My heart broke down a little when she said that.. but it is true that the last few trips we were on.. my mind was jumbled with thoughts and worries and anxieties.. . I

This is my friend @vick.sk13 that I have known since I was 7YO. It’s crazy that we are somehow still friends.. he brought me to a driving range one day with @lawyueren @benjitat2 one day and here we are on a crazy 5 days trip to play golf. We make so much excuses not to.. because life gets to us with responsibilities.. but one days we will look back and smile to these memories.. So thank you for all of you who has made time for me.. you know who you are! ❤️❤️❤️ | Kenneth Tan

8 Lessons I’ve Learnt After 8 Renovation Projects (as a client) 1. Pick the right contractor, not the cheapest one. The wrong contractor will cost you more in mistakes, delays, and stress than the money you thought you saved. 2. Don’t be a cheapskate on important things. Spend on what you touch every day hinges, sliders, countertops, flooring. Also pay up for good installers and skilled labour! 3. Think long-term reparability. Choose materials and designs that can be repaired or replaced, not on

I’ve always loved the look of the countertop standalone wash basins. However, I know for my day to day use, it’s just going to be impossible for me to maintain. So I have one in my guest bathroom which I rarely use. That means less maintenance cause it’s usually dry when not in use and also I never need more than a handwash and hand towels placed around it. .It’s just not gonna make sense if you use it as a daily sink. Unless you have a huge bathroom and space is not an issue..What are your thou

1. It’s cheap — practically charity work at this point. 2. It’s so relaxing — the ball always goes exactly where I planned… which is usually into the jungle. 3. Fast paced — no waiting, no pressure… except for the 4 flights breathing down my neck. 4. You feel good — because nothing boosts confidence like topping a drive 12 meters. 5. No need to practice — it’s basically just glorified walking with fancy sticks. 6. You never get angry — it’s a totally zen sport… until the 3-putt happens. 7. It’s

1. Total budget. Decide how much you want to spend in total and at least have 20-30% extra. If it’s a joint expense, put out the money first and stick to it. 2. Final decision maker. Who makes a final decision should only be one person and you can break it up who makes decision for budget, design & etc. 3. Non negotiables. Decide early what are necessities, wants and dreams. Break it up into 3 columns and the first needs to be filled up before the second column. 4. Family opinions. Decide if any

Don’t freaking cheap out on the labour. Your home will feel cheap and people can tell. I’m not saying don’t go and do some due diligence to get a good price. We all love getting a good price. But I see very often that clients don’t value or aren’t willing to pay up for good labour and usually complain after they get a shoddy job! Please do yourself a favour and get people with experience to install your expensive stuff that you paid with your hard earned money. Tiling is the best example.. it ta
