Vice President Dick Cheney, who gained unprecedented power and access as second-in-command to President George W. Bush, died Monday at the age of 84. In the months post 9/11, Cheney urged Bush to suspend the Geneva Conventions for suspected Al Qaeda prisoners in order to use more extreme interrogation techniques against them.
