The New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays are playing a two-game series this week at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, Fla.

Judge, Bellinger and Stanton went back-to-back-to-back in the first inning to give the Yankees a 3-0 lead four batters into the game.

The tarp at Steinbrenner Field was rolled out about eight minutes before the 7:35 p.m. scheduled start time between the Yankees and Rays.

After a lot of heavy rain that delayed the first pitch almost two hours until 9:31 p.m., the Yankees reigned homers in their spring training ballpark. Aaron Judge, Cody Bellinger and Giancarlo Stanton went back-to-back-to-back in the first inning with one out off Rays right-hander Shane Baz, and that was the start of a power show for the ages.

The series, Tampa Bay’s last of the season with New York, provides an opportunity to make up ground in the race for a playoff spot.

The weekend could not have gone much better for the Yankees. By sweeping the St. Louis Cardinals on the road, the Yankees (67-57) went back to being 10 games above .500 for the first time since Aug. 1.
