A dispute over Pokémon trading cards erupted into shocking violence outside a GameStop in California, leaving one man hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being bashed in the head and stabbed with shards of glass.

Police said the argument turned physical when Orellanas-Flores allegedly struck the victim "in the back of the head with a glass mason jar." The second man then "grabbed the broken shards of glass of the mason jar and began to stab the victim multiple times," according to police.

Isaiah Calles, 27, and Miguel OrellanasFlores, 49, were arrested on suspicion of assaulting and stabbing a man with broken glass after an altercation over a place in line at GameStop. The man is in stable condition.
