Formula 1 drivers and the FIA will discuss the wording and implementation of the much-contested racing guidelines in Qatar following Oscar Piastri's divisive Brazil penalty
A racer friend of Oscar Piastri from IndyCar has shared a sympathetic message for him amid his F1 slump. The tables have turned fast and emphatically for the McLaren driver, who led the drivers' championship from Round 5 of the season until Round 20.
Piastri was dealt a 10-second time penalty at Interlagos for a three-way collision between himself, Kimi Antonelli and Charles Leclerc, who was forced to retire. The Australian was alongside Antonelli on the inside but ran out of room at the apex, which led to him striking the Mercedes who rebounded into Leclerc’s Ferrari.
Although Lando Norris has overtaken Oscar Piastri in the title race, Ralf Schumacher says there could be another twist in the tale.
The Australian driver has become a household name in 2025, leading the F1 championship for the majority of the season. He's fallen behind McLaren teammate Lando Norris in recent weeks, and is now more of a long-shot to claim his first world title.
