Revellers are parading in colorful costumes through the streets of Notting Hill, in west London, for the annual carnival which started in 1966 and is one of the largest festival celebrations of its kind in Europe celebrating Caribbean culture.

Revellers, dancers and musicians filled the streets of west London on Monday for the annual Notting Hill carnival, one of the world's largest street parties that, despite its cultural prominence, has struggled with funding challenges.

Bajan Raw Licquer, Mahogany, Chocolate Nation, Mas Africa, Vincy Alliance and United Kreyol were among the groups involved.
