Phoenix police are investigating a late-night shooting that left one man dead and another injured near 39th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard.

Police arrested 42-year-old Craig Poorthunder in connection with the fatal shooting of a man early on Nov. 15 at a north Phoenix apartment complex, officials said. At around 2 a.m., officers responded to calls of a shooting near 19th and Northern avenues, according to Sgt. Rob Scherer, a spokesperson for the Phoenix Police Department.
