Okidi, a giraffe calf born at the Detroit Zoo in November, died after sustaining a severe vertebral injury in her habitat.
Officials say 2-month-old Okidi ran into a habitat viewing panel. Animal care and veterinary teams determined that the giraffe calf sustained a vertebral injury.
