With all eyes set on the national championship game, there are no college football bowl games on TV today, as the postseason takes another brief pause before the title showdown.

The day after Christmas will bring the gift of college football’s 2025-26 bowl season resuming with three games Friday, Dec. 26. Starting at 1 p.m. ET, Central Michigan will play Northwestern in the GameAbove Sports Bowl. New Mexico and Minnesota will kick off at 4:30 p.m. ET in the Rate Bowl.

Polynesian Bowl week officially kicks off on Sunday in what will be year No. 10 of the event. Every year the talent at the Polynesian Bowl is upgraded and this could be the deepest year yet. There are nearly 20 Rivals Industry rated five-star prospects including a loaded group of 2027 underclassmen.

In a rematch from earlier in the season, Alabama overcame a 17-0 road deficit to beat the Hoosiers 34-24 for the first time in a year, previously going 0-2 dating back to Nov. 2024. Since the Sooners are also in the SEC, this one still counts against (and for) the conference.
