Residents of the Great Lakes region are in for a snowy Thanksgiving, as a weather system continues to drop precipitation across the area, particularly in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

A gust of 68 mph – the strongest in Buffalo since January 2024 – was recorded at the airport on Wednesday night, the National Weather Service said.
