Spanish star Carlos Alcaraz has his sights set on reclaiming the ATP World No. 1 ranking from Jannik Sinner at the upcoming US Open.

Iga Swiatek and Carlos Alcaraz underlined their hard court credentials ahead of the US Open with victories over Jasmine Paolini and Jannik Sinner respectively in the women's and men's singles tournaments at the Cincinnati Open.

Carlos Alcaraz dominated and got a straight-set victory, 6-4, 6-3, to reach the final which he will be playing against Jannik Sinner.
