President Donald Trump on Wednesday again cast doubt on the reliability of NATO, saying he was unconvinced the alliance would come to Washington’s defense in a crisis, even as the White House’s renewed push to acquire Greenland fueled tensions with European partners.

EVERYONE IS LUCKY THAT I REBUILT OUR MILITARY IN MY FIRST TERM, AND CONTINUE TO DO SO. We will always be there for NATO, even if they won’t be there for us."

German minister: protection of Greenland will be discussed within NATO if needed

German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said on Monday that Greenland belonged to Denmark and that the NATO alliance could discuss strengthening its protection if necessary.
