Feb 5 (Reuters) - Delegations from the United States, Ukraine and Russia have agreed to exchange 314 prisoners, U.S. President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff said on Thursday, adding that significant work remained to end the war.
The Ukrainian president also said a large number of people were "officially missing", meaning the total death toll is thought to be much higher.
As losses mount, the pace of Russia's advance has at times been slower than the Battle of the Somme during World War I, a report says.
"I hope no one ever finds themselves in the same situation of brutal legal abuse that I did," Artemy Ostaninsaid in his final statement in court.
Ukraine has agreed with western partners that persistent Russian violations of any future ceasefire agreement would be met by a co-ordinated military response from Europe and the US, according to people briefed on the discussions.
