A woman was killed and two others injured in an early morning shooting in Gentilly Woods, New Orleans; a suspect is in custody.

Police are searching for the gunman and are asking for the public's help.

One person was killed in a 7th Ward shooting early Wednesday morning, according to the New Orleans Police Department. Police were called at 8:10 a.m. to the 2600 block of A.P. Tureaud Avenue, where they found an unidentified male wounded on the ground. Paramedics declared the victim dead at the scene, police said.
