Macaulay Culkin is mourning the death of Catherine O’Hara, who played his mother in the 1990 smash comedy “Home Alone” and its 1992 sequel, “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.”

Catherine O'Hara 's final role was never fulfilled as the actress missed the start of filming for series two of The Studio just days before her death.

She became a household name playing Kate McCallister, Macaulay Culkin's mother in the global blockbuster Home Alone (1990) and its 1992 sequel.
