If you're flying out of Bush Intercontinental or Hobby airports, be prepared for longer TSA wait times due to the ongoing government shutdown.
Even if you don't fly, travel experts say the images coming out of Houston's airports could impact you. They say the coverage of long airport lines could influence the government's reopening.
Wait times at Bush Airport's Terminal A and E were expected to exceed 60 to 75 minutes on Thursday, according to Houston Airport System officials.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) expects some additional ground stops at Bush and Hobby airports on Friday afternoon. On Thursday, the Houston Chronicle reported ground stops at both airports due to staffing issues and construction delays. Similar ground stops were issued again on Tuesday at both airports.
