The Seattle Mariners, for the first time since 2001, are headed to the American League Championship Series. They finished off the Tigers in an epic, 15-inning Game 5 Friday, 3-2, at T-Mobile Park.

The Seattle Mariners are headed to the ALCS to face Toronto after beating Detroit 3-2 with a walk-off single in the 15th inning of Game 5 of the ALDS. Jorge Polanco drove home the game-winning run, scoring J.P. Crawford. Polanco was 0-for-5 with three strikeouts in the game before coming through in the 15th inning.

The Mariners advanced to the Championship Series after knocking off the Tigers in a record-setting 15-inning ALDS finale.

The Brewers are attempting a bullpen game to claim this Game 5 of the NLDS, a feat that requires all parts to fire crisply. But after lefty Aaron Ashby allowed a hit and hit a batter to start the sixth – he did strike out Kyle Tucker to fulfill the three-batter minimum – Patrick, a rookie, was asked to clean it up.

Mariners and Tigers face off in Game 5 of the ALDS at T-Mobile Park, with the winner advancing to the ALCS. The game starts at 5:08 p.m. PT on Friday, airing on FOX 13 and streaming on FOX ONE and FOX Sports apps. The winner will play the Toronto Blue Jays in the ALCS, starting in Canada.

On the Fever's first possesison of the game, Aliyah Boston got Kierstan Bell on a switch, backed her into the paint and turned for a jump hook that nestled into the net. Down on the other end, she deflected a pass from A'ja Wilson, recovered the loose ball and threw a perfect outlet pass to Odyssey Sims for an easy layup.

The Chicago Cubs rode three home runs and dominant pitching to a 6-0 win over the Brewers on Thursday in Game 4 of the NLDS. Game 5 is at 7:08 p.m. Saturday in Milwaukee.

The Yankees and Red Sox will both turn to talented rookie starters when the teams square off in Game 3 of their Wild Card Series.
