It does not appear that the storm will track close enough to New England to deliver what could have been, a devastating and destructive blow.

Forecasters continue to hedge their bets on a snowstorm that could affect Southern New England on Sunday.

Up to a foot is possible this weekend in parts of the Southeast and on Cape Cod, with smaller amounts expected for much of the East Coast.
