CARTERVILLE, IL (WSIL) - As we turn our focus to Week 7 of high school football in Southern Illinois, we take a look back at Week 6. Fans in our area were treated to some highlight reel worthy plays.

The Lions roared out of the gate last season, starting 5-0 before a week 6 loss to Harrisburg. The team made the postseason but ended the year with a first-round playoff loss to those Bulldogs.

Last week, it was reported that the Marion Wildcats, Carterville Lions, Herrin Tigers and Benton Rangers had worked out a four-way deal to change the opening of the football schedule next school year.
