A structure fire in Fresno sent smoke billowing through the city Tuesday afternoon, originating from a boarded-up building near Fresno Street and Tyler Avenue, and the cause is under investigation.
One of several small brush fires reported on Monday, the Cajon Fire, burned in San Bernardino and destroyed two structures, according to fire crews.
A fire broke out early Saturday morning, May 16, at the state prison in Norco. The blaze was reported around 5:45 a.m. at the California Rehabilitation Center at Fifth and Western avenues, according to the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services.
Crews located two people dead inside the structure. The identities of the individuals have not been confirmed yet.
The academy brought about 50 participants from across the globe to learn from forensic anthropologists who specialize in the work.
