Early voting for the Dec. 2 Atlanta City Council and Atlanta school board runoff elections will start this Saturday, Nov. 22, and will run until Wednesday, Nov. 26.

Special elections for a pair of statehouse seats heavily favor the GOP. But Democrats are still making a play as part of a larger strategy to retake the House majority. One of the districts covers the northern exurbs of Atlanta and the other a part of Athens. The elections will take place Dec. 9, and a runoff, if needed, will be Jan. 6.

Georgia’s 2025 Ballot Image Audit examined the results of contests across the state. There was a comprehensive statewide review of all 1,,581,539 ballots cast.

SB 189, requires the state to stop using QR codes to count ballots by July 2026, before the November General election. The Secretary of State says he has a better option.

The City of Atlanta Office of the Municipal Clerk has announced the dates and locations for early voting for the Dec. 2 runoff election. Early voting will begin Saturday, Nov. 22 and continue through Wednesday,
