He is now worth more than a trillion dollars and is the world's first trillionaire. He owns the world's most valuable car company, a rocket firm that competes with national space agencies, and one of the most visited social media platforms on the planet.

SpaceX and Google have a long and complicated relationship, but they were both celebrating this week after Elon Musk's company held its blockbuster IPO.
