Per Schefter, swing tackle and key Kaleb McGary insurance Storm Norton had ankle surgery yesterday, which comes with a recovery timeline of 6-8 weeks. That would put him on track to return sometime in October, which is better than missing the season but makes for a very scary problem at this moment in time.

Falcons star offensive lineman carted off field with apparent lower leg injury during practice
Atlanta Falcons right tackle Kaleb McGary was carted off the field during the team's practice Wednesday with an apparent lower leg injury.
Falcons backup swing tackle Storm Norton underwent ankle surgery Tuesday and is expected to miss six to eight weeks, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Elijah Wilkinson replaced McGary at practice.
Head coach Raheem Morris said Monday that he doesn't expect Norton (lower body) to return to practice ahead of Friday's preseason finale against the Cowboys, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Right tackle Kaleb McGary was carted off after suffering what appeared to be a lower left leg injury. The team said McGary will be having an MRI to assess the severity of the injury and that they will update his condition when there’s more information to share.
