Two crew members who were missing following the crash of a fighter jet in mountainous terrain in Washington during a routine training flight have been declared dead.

The names of the pilots will not be released until 24 hours after their next of kin have been notified in accordance with Navy policy.

The U.S. Navy confirmed Sunday that the two pilots involved in a jet crash near Mount Rainier in Washington on Tuesday had been located and were dead.
