Senators are the clear winner in trade with Flyers
Good news for Ottawa Senators fans, as the franchise accelerated its timeline to be competitive in the 2025-26 season following the official announcement of a trade on Monday.
Imagine if the Ottawa Senators were down both Thomas Chabot and Nick Jensen entering this week. Thankfully, it’s only Chabot on the injury list as the Senators avoided a scare when Jensen didn’t finish last week’s game against the Boston Bruins.
Defenceman Thomas Chabot, who suffered an upper-body muscle injury a week ago against the Stars at home, was on the ice on Monday. He hasn’t been cleared to take any contact, but the expectation is that he will be on the flight with his teammates when they depart Ottawa.
There is a chance that Brady Tkachuk could return during the Senators' West Coast road trip as he recovers from hand surgery.
