The campaign for Mayor Jacob Frey is challenging the Minneapolis DFL endorsement of his rival, Minnesota Sen. Omar Fateh. According to a news release from Frey's campaign, the challenge was filed with the Minnesota DFL on Monday.

Fateh won more than 60% of the delegate vote during a long convention at Target Center, finishing ahead of Mayor Jacob Frey.

The Minneapolis DFL held its convention on Saturday at Target Center, and Jacob Frey did not get the endorsement for mayor.
