Daly brought up news of The Kelly Clarkson Show ‘s end during the discussion and asked the singer why now was the right time to take a break from daytime TV.
Last summer, her ex-husband and former talent manager, Brandon Blackstock, died from skin cancer at age 48. They share two children: 11-year-old River Rose, and 9-year-old Remington Alexander. Their divorce was incredibly messy, with Brandon being revealed to be in a relationship with Kelly's former assistant at the time of his death.
The "American Idol" alum announced earlier this month she will be ending the show after its current seventh season.
