Texas QB Quinn Ewers continues to get some prominent placement in 2025 NFL mock drafts, but that lofty potential first-round status continues to take hits. Perhaps the biggest jolt to Ewers as a draft prospect came Saturday night, when Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian benched Ewers for celebrated freshman QB Arch Manning.

Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian made the move late in the second quarter with his top-ranked team trailing No. 5 Georgia 20-0. The Texas offense had just 33 yards of total offense with Ewers at the helm, adding two turnovers. After a three and out led to another Georgia field goal, Manning replaced the junior as the Longhorns' signal-caller.
