Georgia has moved up to No. 4 in The Associated Press poll, Oklahoma is back in the top 10 and North Texas is ranked for the first time since 1959.
On a day Alabama lost and Texas A&M looked vulnerable, Georgia football made a case it may be the best team in the SEC by taking it to Texas.
Georgia would replace Alabama as a top-four seed and receive a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff on a bracket based on the new Associated Press Top 25.
Georgia didn’t officially lock up a spot in the College Football Playoff by knocking off Texas in their prime-time clash, but they came pretty close.
