According to a bulletin sent to dealers seen by Cars Direct, Ford will pay its partners up to $22,500 to order new F-150 Lightning electric trucks from its Retail Replenishment Ce

With 22,807 units sold in the first nine months of the year, up by 86% from last year, Ford has been selling the F-150 Lightning well. However, the Blue Oval marque is hard-pressed to move more of its electric trucks by offering huge incentives to dealers – deals that can potentially affect its pricing and make it more attractive to EV buyers.

Ford is incentivizing dealers to move its F-150 Lightning electric trucks. Through a new pilot program, dealers can earn up to $22,500.

Cars Direct notes it’s possible some dealers may be encouraged to offer better prices and leasing deals for the F-150

Dealers can make $22,500 by ordering 15 F-150 Lightnings from regional EV distribution centers designed to reduce carrying costs and give customers quicker access to more inventory.

Both Cybertruck models have a towing capacity of 11,000 pounds and a payload capacity of 2,500 pounds. The F-150 Lightning’s towing capacity maxes out at 10,000 pounds, and its payload capacity is 2,235 pounds with the standard-range pack and 1,952 pounds with the extended-range pack.
