With only two names on the ballot in the Surrey South riding, the results are now in and it comes in the wake of controversial comments.

The last time the riding was contested, in a byelection in 2022, then BC Liberal candidate Elenore Sturko took the riding with 51.5 per cent of the vote to B.C. NDP candidate Pauline Greaves' 29.9 per cent of the vote.

A B.C. Conservative candidate whose campaign was mired by controversies in the days before the provincial election has won the Surrey South riding.
